Welcome to URGrad
URGrad is a platform designed to help medical school applicants organize their applications, track deadlines, prepare for interviews, and manage their application cycle. By using URGrad, you agree to these terms.
Plain language version: We built this to help you get into medical school. Use it responsibly, and we'll do our best to help you succeed.
1. What We Provide
URGrad offers:
- School discovery and comparison tools
- Application tracking and deadline management
- Email integration to detect application updates (secondaries, interviews, decisions)
- Interview preparation with AI-powered practice sessions
- Essay management and AI feedback
- Document storage and organization
We are not affiliated with any medical school, AMCAS, AACOMAS, or admissions organization. Our school data is compiled from public sources and may not always be current.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. This includes:
- Keeping your password secure
- Not sharing your account with others
- Notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access
You must be at least 18 years old to use URGrad. By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.
3. Email Integration
If you connect your email account, we will:
- Scan your inbox for emails from medical schools and application services
- Extract relevant information (interview invitations, deadline reminders, status updates)
- Store this information to update your application status automatically
We will not read emails unrelated to your applications, share your email content with third parties, or use your email for any purpose other than tracking your applications.
You can disconnect your email at any time from your account settings.
4. AI Features
URGrad uses artificial intelligence for:
- Interview practice sessions (voice and MMI)
- Essay feedback and suggestions
- School recommendations
- Email classification
Important: AI-generated content is not a substitute for professional admissions advice. Our AI may make mistakes. Always review AI suggestions critically and consult with pre-med advisors, mentors, or admissions consultants for important decisions.
We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our AI models, but we will never use your personal essays or interview responses to train models without your explicit consent.
5. Payments
URGrad offers paid plans (Essential and Premium) as one-time purchases that cover your full application cycle. By purchasing:
- You authorize us to charge your payment method
- All sales are final (no refunds except as required by law)
- Your access continues for the duration of your application cycle
If you have concerns about a purchase, contact us at support@urgrad.com and we'll work with you to find a solution.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use URGrad for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute our school data
- Use automated tools to access the service (except as we explicitly allow)
- Submit false information or impersonate others
- Use the platform to harass, spam, or harm others
Violation of these terms may result in account termination without refund.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload (essays, documents, interview recordings). By uploading content, you grant us a license to store and process it to provide our services.
You can delete your content at any time. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimers
URGrad is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Specifically:
- We do not guarantee admission to any medical school
- School data may be incomplete or outdated
- AI features may produce errors or inappropriate content
- The service may experience downtime or technical issues
We are not liable for any decisions you make based on information from URGrad. Always verify critical information (deadlines, requirements) with official sources.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
